Fino is a custom menswear store and design house in Los Gatos, California. We focus on creating clothing that fits well, looks good, and makes sense for the person wearing it.
We believe great menswear comes down to balance, proportion, quality, and attention to detail. Every garment starts with understanding the client — how you dress, what you like, what you don't like, and what you're trying to add to your wardrobe.
The process is also meant to be educational. We don't just want to tell you what to wear. We want to explain why certain fabrics, proportions, and design choices work so you leave with a better understanding of your own style.
Made to measure is at the center of what we do, with suits and jackets designed at our Los Gatos atelier and made in Italy, and shirts made in Portugal, to our specifications. We also offer bespoke suiting for select commissions when the client and timeline call for it. Whether you're preparing for a wedding, stepping into a new role, traveling more, or simply trying to build a better wardrobe, our goal is to create clothing you'll actually enjoy wearing.

Julian's interest in menswear was shaped by 1940s style, classic cinema, and vintage suit books. His approach is grounded in timeless design and the idea that a great garment should look just as good years from now as it does today. At Fino, Julian focuses on creating clothing that feels personal, refined, and natural to the person wearing it.

David brings together the discipline of his Portuguese background and the expressive influence of Brazilian culture. His approach to menswear centers on purpose, precision, and helping clients find a style that feels like their own rather than something they're trying to copy.

We bring two different perspectives to every commission. Julian tends to draw more heavily from classic menswear and vintage design, while David brings a more modern sensibility influenced by Portuguese tradition and Brazilian style. That balance has become a big part of the way we approach Fino.
Every consultation is collaborative. We don't just take measurements and ask you to choose a fabric. We talk through why certain fabrics work better than others, how different proportions affect the way a garment looks, and how things like sport coats, trousers, knitwear, and footwear can work together within the larger wardrobe.
The goal isn't simply to make you one great suit. We want to understand how you live, work, travel, and dress so we can help you build a wardrobe that actually works for you over time.
